Account sharing is not allowed, so that isn't a valid reason. In fact, it's a reason against implementing this.

There's loads of ways to make your account more secure without having Anet worrying about it, as others have mentioned.

I don't mind this as long as it's optional. I would love to do this for when letting others mess with the account. I'd say implement a password for settings and use the character password for if you want to delete the character. The only problem is what if you forget the password? Ways to recover?

I was hacked today(They salvaged my FoW Set ) and it would be a great help for characters with valuable stuff on them,or even mules.
